Iranian film ‘Termite’ has been screened at the Flickers’ Rhode Island Film Festival in US.

The film directed by Masoud Hatami, the film screened at the feature films section of the 38th edition of the event.

GlobeCSF institute managed by Pouria Mousavi is the international distributor of ‘Termite’.

Set in Iran and Armenia, ‘Termite’ is about Tara, a young woman who has lost her mother and brother in the sea near their home in northern Iran when she was a child.

She has never returned there since then. But now, after seven years of marriage, she has made her mind to sell the house; so she has to return there.

On the way with her husband, she talks about her dreams of having a family and children, which causes serious discussions between them.

Maryam Moqaddam, Behtash Sanaeeha, Nahal Dashti, Pasha Jamali, Soudeh Azqandi as well as some Armenian and Dutch actors have appeared in the movie.

‘This year’s Festival is dedicated to the memories of the 692,000+ individuals who have lost their lives to COVID-19, including the 160,000+ in the United States and the more than one thousand in the State of Rhode Island. Stay safe and stay well!’ the event’s website wrote.

The Flickers’ Rhode Island Film Festival is a qualifying festival for Best Short Subject through the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This edition of the event was held on August 4-9, 2020.
